Cowboys Win!!!

Calvin Watkins' Dallas Cowboys Week 10 report card from DMN

RUN OFFENSE

B
Julius Jones didn't have a lot of yards, 48 on 11 carries, but his 4.4 yards per carry was impressive. His first carry of the day was for 20 yards, and his second run was for 8 more. The offensive line was physical. Marion Barber had 26 yards in the fourth quarter.
PASS OFFENSE

A
The offensive line gave Tony Romo time to throw the ball down field. Romo also used his legs to move around the pocket. Romo had a quarterback rating of 123.1 and receivers Terrell Owens (125 yards and two TDs) and Patrick Crayton (66 yards and one TD) made clutch plays.
RUN DEFENSE

C+
Dallas allowed more than 100 yards rushing for the second time in three weeks. Giants RB Brandon Jacobs rushed 23 times for 95 yards. With the game out of reach, the Giants had to pass more, but they had established the running game and that was a concern for the Cowboys.
PASS DEFENSE

B
Giants TE Jeremy Shockey caught 12 passes as S Roy Williams struggled in coverage. CBs Terence Newman, Jacques Reeves and Anthony Henry played well and FS Ken Hamlin had an interception. Giants WR Plaxico Burress was held to four catches. The defense had five sacks.
SPECIAL TEAMS

C
There were no touchbacks from Nick Folk, and most of his six kickoffs were short. Miles Austin averaged 19.7 yards in kickoff returns. P Mat McBriar had his lowest gross average of the season, 35.8, but he had one inside the 20. The Giants had 10 yards in returns.
COACHING

B
Coaches made great adjustments in the second half. A squib kick near the end of the first half was questionable, because it contributed to a tying field goal. It was another good game plan to get the ball to Owens. And it was good to give Tank Johnson a number of snaps in his debut.
